David Rennhack Obituary

OREGON — David Allen Rennhack, age 59, of Oregon, passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1951, in Racine, the son of Allen and Ruth (Tubbs) Rennhack. He was a 1970 graduate of Pittsville High School, attended UW-Eau Claire, and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from UW-Stevens Point. He married Sue Norton at Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church in Oregon, on July 9, 1994.

He was an avid bow and gun deer hunter and enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking and sports, especially the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He was an accomplished woodworker, building his daughter's bedroom set and many pieces of furniture for family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing trumpet in the Polka Plus polka band and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; by his daughter, Ashley; by his mother, Ruth, of Marshfield; by two sisters, Judy (Bob) Johnston of Marshfield, and Laurie (Bob) Hoffman of Park Falls; by four nephews: Ryan (Jennifer) Johnston and Seth, Jed and Bo Carlson; by four nieces: Jessica and Samantha Garrels, Ali (Cody) Davidowski and Chelsea Carlson; and by many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen in April 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Visitation will be held at Gunderson Oregon Funeral Home, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, and at the church on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

I remember Dave from High school. He was a great football player and a very nice person, especially when I was only a freshman and he was a senior. He would take time to talk to me as a friend. My deepest sympathy, Paul Behselich (Pittsville, Wi.)

Dave was my hunting buddy. He just built a new deer stand on our land.It will be named after him. I know it will last for many years. He built it. Dave will be missed by our family. May God grant him peace.
