Dear family of Eleanor,
We moved in next door to the Eimermans in October of 1968. We discovered how nice and quiet our new neighbors were and that I was in the same year of high school as Dale. Our mom, June Brunette, passed away in January of 1995 10 years after my dad passed away. We were so appreciative of Mr. and Mrs. Eimerman watching out for our mom! I, Jill, had actually shared the same birthday with Mr. Eimerman, so we would send each other birthday cards for years. Occasionally I would get back to Rapids to visit a friend and I would stop by and see your parents, they were always so happy to see me and would say they still missed my parents as neighbors. In Dec. of 2018 my sister Julie and I were in the Rapids and stopped by to see Mrs. Eimerman at the Renanissance. We were amazed that she looked the same! And had her same sweet spirit.
We wish you God's comfort
Our prayers and sympathy to you all

Al,
Was so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I believe she was the last living member of our neighborhood where we grew up. I and all of my family were very fond of her. She was close to my wife's mother as well (Lucille Wendt). They were regularly involved in those polka dances. Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. You'll always have the great memories. Sympathies to your entire family.
