Esther Kaye Slinkman, age 48, of Wisconsin Rapids, died early Thursday morning, September 4, 2014.

Esther was born February 18, 1966, in Mauston, WI to William and Mildred (Peckham) Perry. In December 2004 she married her loving husband Steven Slinkman in Las Vegas, NV. Esther was a graduate of MSTC in Wisconsin Rapids for Emergency Medical Technician- Enhanced Intermediate. Esther worked at Rainbow Casino in Nekoosa, as a security guard for many years. She worked at Furniture and Appliancemart as a dispatcher and she was also an EMT for Higgins Ambulance Service for several years.

Esther loved to travel. She was an avid Minnesota Viking and Twins fan. She loved to cook and passed that love on to her son David. Esther was a loving and selfless person, always willing to take the time to help others in need; she was a beautiful person that gave unconditional love and respect to her family and friends.

Esther is survived by her husband: Steve; one son: David(Marina) Zabawa of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; one granddaughter: Mikalah; two sisters: Estelle Perry of Reedsburg, WI and Tameria Perry of Fort Belknap, MT; father: William Perry of Fort Belknap, MT; nieces and nephews: Sandra WhiteEagle of Reedsburg ,WI, Terrell Funmaker of Fort Belknap , MT, Isaiah Funmaker of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Paul Dagdagan of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Crystal Dagdagan of Fort Belknap, MT; aunts and uncles: Milfred Peckham and Marge Peckham of Nekoosa, WI, Warren ( Darlene) Peckham of Hustler, WI and Roland (Bethel) Peckham of Nekoosa, WI, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Esther was preceded in death by her mother Mildred Peckham.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
