In her early years, LaVerne loved to stay active teaching Sunday School, singing in the church choir, bowling with friends, knitting, sewing clothes for her kids and Sandy's Barbie Dolls, baking treats and caring for her family and friends. LaVerne and Ed loved to travel, dance, camp, hunt and fish together. More recently LaVerne volunteered at the Food Pantry, delivered Meals on Wheels, enjoyed puzzles, books and playing cards. She continued to meet with her beloved "Sewing Club" friends for 65 years.

She is survived by her children: Dayton (Colleen) Kauth of Nekoosa, WI, Darrell (Pam) Kauth of Nekoosa, WI, Sandra (Bruce) Salvo of Middleton, WI, grandchildren: Josh Kauth, Torey (Amanda) Kauth, Ember (Rob Parker) Kauth, Trampas (Michelle) Kauth, Jesse Kauth, Kia (Eric) Mills, Greg Salvo, Brenda Salvo, Monica Salvo, Jeff Salvo, great-grandchildren: Julia and Finn Kauth, Kody Kauth, Jordan Mills, brothers: Henry (Angie) Oleson Jr., Richard (special friend Clara Green) Oleson, Harold (Karen) Oleson and many nieces and nephews.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin, sister Elaine (Gerald) Cattanaugh, sister-in-law Jan Oleson, mother-in-law Emma Kauth; brother-in-law Robert (Rosie) Kauth.

LaVerne's sweet and spunky spirit made her a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend who taught us the meaning of sacrifice and giving from the heart.
