Villeneuve, Margaret

Margaret J. Villeneuve, 84, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Tuesday, May 30th, 2017, at home surrounded by her children. She was born June 3, 1932 in Wisconsin Rapids to Bernard and Loretta (Kickland) Musch, and was the youngest of ten children. Margaret graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1950.

On July 7, 1951 she married Romeo E. Villeneuve, Jr. in Wisconsin Rapids and spent the early years of their marriage making their home at various U. S. naval air stations as Romeo completed his military service. They returned to Wisconsin Rapids and made their home along the Wisconsin River in Biron where they raised a family.

Margaret enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker, cooking, baking, tending to her flowers, reading, and family activities on the river. She was also a devoted follower of sports, especially Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball, Green Bay Packers football, and Milwaukee Brewers baseball. Margaret was employed by Dr. Wolfgang Dietsche, Orthopedic Surgery Clinic of Wisconsin Rapids for many years, retiring in 1991.

Margaret is survived by her children, Margo Stewart (fiancé Kurt Willmann), Pound, Anita (Ron) White, Minocqua, Laurie (Dan) White, Tomahawk, Douglas (Sharon) Villeneuve, Wisconsin Rapids; eight grandchildren, Jason White, Jessica (White) Rasmussen, Ryan White, Dustin White, Jordan Stewart, Benjamin Villeneuve, Andrew Villeneuve, and Mallory (Villeneuve) Dickman; eleven great grandchildren; her sister, Marjorie (Musch) Merk, Nekoosa, and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Romeo E. Villeneuve, Jr., her parents, Bernard and Loretta Musch, her siblings James Musch, Francis Musch, George Musch, Mabel (Musch) Lessig, John Musch, Blanche (Musch) Evanson, Robert Musch, and Bernard Musch Jr.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 6th, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Buettgen Funeral Home, 631 E. Grand Ave., Wisconsin Rapids, and will continue on Wednesday, June 7th, at 10:00 a.m. with the celebration of life service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. There will be a private interment for family at a later time.

Margaret's family extends a special thank you to Dr. Dean Hagness for his many years of care, his nurse, Mary, and staff; and the special care provided by the compassionate staff of Ministry Home & Hospice Care, Marshfield/Wisconsin Rapids Home Health Team, especially Heather, Bee, Moriah, Samantha, Kelly, and Lynn.
