Frank Lombino Obituary

Mr. Frank Lombino, 82, formerly of Utica, NY, passed away after a brief illness, at his home in San Antonio, FL, on Monday, October 13, 2025. Frank was born in Rome, NY, December 16, 1942, a son of the late John and Rose (Valento) Lombino. He was raised and educated in Rome, and a graduate of Rome Free Academy. He later attended Utica College. Frank proudly served our country in the Army National Guard. Frank was a longtime insurance agent and worked for Metropolitan Insurance Co. for over thirty years. In November of 1995, Frank was joined in marriage to the former Mary Burkhart and they have enjoyed over thirty loving years together, enjoying many happy years in San Antonio, FL. Frank enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy. He worked in his community as the head of travel groups and local Italian clubs. In earlier years, he became a ship Captain and chartered many catamaran trips on the Caribbean Sea. He also was an avid scuba diver and instructor for many years. At one time, Frank was married to the former Francine Talerico and from that union had his four cherished children. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his children, Karla and Ray Bennett, Joseph and Bridgett Lombino, and James and Nancy Lombino, a stepson, Jason Burkhart; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Anthony Lombino, and John and Paulette Lombino; grandchildren, Amanda and Brian McCluskey, Stephanie Lombino, Samuel Lombino, Logan Lombino, Raymond and Melanie Bennett, Sarah Bennett and Graham Espe, Nicholas and Marlen Bennett, Haley Lombino and Cameron Kaeser, Joshua Lombino, Dominic Lombino, and Jenna Lombino; great grandchildren, Rocco Cornacchia, Isabelle Austin, and Jax and Evelyn Bennett. He was predeceased by his son, Frank Lombino; and sister, Frances Lombino. Funeral and interment services will be held in San Antonio, FL. Locally his family will honor him in a private gathering.
