Kathleen M. Dunning

KATHLEEN M. DUNNING ONEIDA-Kathleen M. Dunning, a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and cherished grandmother, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 in University Hospital, Syracuse, with her loving family by her side, at the age of 64. Born in Oneida, on June 11, 1961, she was the daughter of Diane and Reginald Jordan. A lifelong resident of the area, Kathy's life was defined by the deep and unconditional love she held for her family. She married Mark A Dunning, in Oneida, on July 11, 2003. Prior to her illness, Kathy was an Executive Assistant at Turning Stone Enterprises, where she was employed for over 30 years. She truly loved the enjoyment of family, especially her grandchildren, her plants and birds and shopping trips. Surviving besides her husband, Mark, are her son Michael (Alicia) Sharon; her daughters, Briena Dunning, Kala (Rashad) Jenkins, Felicia Dunning and; her grandchildren, Jalen, Avah, Madeline, Derrick, Cameron, Bryar, Damian and Brayden; her mother and step-father, Diane and Reg Jordan; her sisters, Norma Partridge, Lisa Rhinehardt, Regina Jordan, Michelle Jordan and Nicole Jordan; her brother, David (Chris) Partridge; a sister-in-law, Theresa Partridge; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father and her brother, Donald F. Partridge, Jr. While she was a devoted partner to her husband and the love of his life, she was a guiding light to her children, Kathy found a special renewed joy in her role as a grandmother. She was the family's biggest cheerleader, known for her warmth, her stories and the unique way she made each grandchild feel like the center of her world. Her home was the place of comfort, laughter and wisdom that will be deeply missed by all generations of the family she built. A gathering to commemorate and celebrate her life will be 2-6 PM Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Owls Club, Vanderbilt Avenue, Oneida.
