Robert W. Beard

Born May 25, 1960 in Haddonfield, NJ, Robert W. Beard succumbed to his multi-year battle with brain cancer on Nov 21, 2025 at Betsy Ross Rehab in Rome, NY.
Heartfelt thanks to the many friends and family, the dedicated medical professionals, and especially to Brenda Morrissey, whose unwavering support and care meant so much throughout his treatment.
Bob graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School in DeWitt, NY, in 1978, where he was an active member of the tennis team. He went on to earn a B.S. in Engineering from Union College in Schenectady, NY, in 1982. Bob built a career in sales and home improvement, fields that perfectly suited his creative spirit and gregarious nature. He especially loved meeting new people.
After many years in Olney, MD, Bob moved to Hamilton, NY, embracing the charm of small-town life. Our mother's hometown, Hamilton was the backdrop of many happy summers filled with family, friends, and adventures on Lake Moraine. Bob was a passionate tennis player and a skilled water skier, and he loved football and baseball. He also deeply treasured the feline companions who shared his life over the years.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his beloved cat, Zeke; his sisters Laura and Carolyn Beard; and his nephew, W. Nathaniel Beard.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at Hamilton Bible Fellowship, 7433 Hamilton St, Hamilton, NY on Saturday, December 6th anc 11 am. Refreshments to follow.
