Roger Chevrette Obituary

Roger D. Chevrette, 80, of Grand St, Oneida NY passed away on Friday October 24th, 2025, at his residence following a four-year battle with colorectal cancer. Born on January 14th, 1945, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Joseph and Beatrice Tellier Chevrette. His family later moved to Utica, New York where he went to school. He joined the Navy at 17, he served during the Vietnam and Korean War. He then met the love of his life, June Stockton where they were married August 10th, 1968. They were married for 38 years until her untimely passing in April of 2006. He was employed at HP Hood for 20 years until his retirement. Roger was the type of man who would bring a homeless man home for Christmas dinner. He was a family man who was a proud father and grandfather. He loved his Buffalo Bills and he loved to fish. Surviving are his daughters, Crystal Snyder of Oneida, NY and Tammy Rinauto of Oneida, NY; 9 grandchildren, Kelly Wilson and family, Tiffany Scales and family, Sara Barbaritano, Mollie Barbaritano, and Emilie Barbaritano, Julien Moore and family; Tom Snyder, Jesse Snyder and JT Snyder. He had 16 great-grandchildren. A special mention for his favorite nieces, Beatrice, Kathy and Lillian and his namesake nephew, Roger. He was predeceased by both of his parents and his brother and sister. Friends may pay their respects on Monday, November 3rd from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Dean funeral Home Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, New York. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 121 St Joseph Pl, Oneida, NY. Interment will be made in the Glenwood Cemetery, Rt 46, Oneida NY following the funeral Mass.
