Scott Dryer Obituary

Scott C. Dryer, 55, of West Railroad St. Oneida died unexpectedly Saturday evening February 15, 2025, at his residence from natural causes. Scott was born in Syracuse on November 29, 1969. He was a lifelong resident of the area and had attended Camden Schools. For 15 years he was employed as a chef at the Spaghetti Factory Restaurant in Verona Beach. He later became disabled. Scott enjoyed watching all types of movies and was a jokester with his family and friends. Surviving is his mother, Karen L. Dryer of Canastota, his two children Amanda Dryer and Zack Dryer both of Canastota: his siblings, Michael (Amy) Hopkins of Canastota, Shane Lisa Hopkins of Canastota, Michelle (Joe) Loosman of Oneida and Shawn Green of Vernon, one granddaughter Sapphira Weimer and several aunts, uncles, nieces' nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his stepfather George Hopkins on Jan 3, 2024, and his brother Todd Dryer on Oct. 7, 2007. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday February 20, 2025, from the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. 342 Main Street Oneida. Interment will be made in the Spring in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Scott, please visit our Tree Store.
