William "Bill" McCartney Jr. Obituary

William "Bill" McCartney Jr. West Winfield, NY William "Bill" McCartney Jr. 72, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 7, 2025. He was born on July 13, 1952, in Utica a son of William and Bertha (Biedermann) McCartney Sr. He was a 1971 graduate of Mount Markham High School. He served his country with honor in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1974. Bill was a member of the International Sheet Metal Workers Union in the United States and Canada. He held a longstanding position at Indium Corporation prior to his retirement. His close friends called him "Bubba." He was a Harley Davidson Enthusiast. He enjoyed riding bikes and the great outdoors. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Ryan Peterson of Houston, TX. He leaves his adored grandchildren, Kenzie, and Kylie Peterson. He leaves his mother Bertha Muller, a brother Bobby McCartney and a sister-in-law, Debby McCartney. He was preceded in death by his Step-father, John Muller. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment with Military Honors will be in Cedarville Cemetery.
