David D. Bohlinger

David D. Bohlinger, 77, of Lafayette passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at Franciscan Health Hospital. David was born October 17, 1947 in Lafayette, IN, to the late Walter and Mildred (Crone) Bohlinger. He was a 1965 graduate of Oxford High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On July 24, 1976 he married the love of his life, Linda Kay Huber at St. Boniface Catholic Church and she survives. David worked for Eli Lily for over 35 years before retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church Along with his wife, Linda, he is survived by his children: Brie Bohlinger of Carmel, IN, Todd Bohlinger of Maryville, TN, Kurt Bohlinger of Lafayette, IN, and Jana (Ryan) Battering of Lafayette, IN. David is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosalie Bohlinger and brother, Lawrence Bohlinger. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, September 11th at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will begin at 10am on Friday, September 12th at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father John Nguyen officiating. David will then be laid to rest with military honors at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to Lafayette Catholic School System.
