Harold Morris

Harold K. Morris, 86, passed away on August 30, 2025. He was born to Nell and Roy Morris, Sr, on September 6, 1938. He married the love of his life on June 11, 1960. He leaves behind his wife Jennifer of 65 years and his children Tim Morris (Trish) of Logansport and his daughter Jenny Franklin (Carey) of Otterbein. Harold is also survived by his brother Roy Morris, Jr., his sister Barbara Stillions, his grandchildren, Mike Morris (Angie), Brandon Morris, Matthew Franklin and Matthew Hettinger (Jessica) along with great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Austin, Theo, Graham, and Emma and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind two boys who were like his grandchildren that he loved with his whole heart, Jackson and Ethan Newkirk. Harold graduated from Shadeland High School in 1956 where he was an accomplished athlete and star student who was chosen to attend Boys State. He met his wife when she was only 16 years old. They shared a love that you only read about. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything, family meant everything to him. Harold worked for International Harvester and loved all of the time he spent with the farmers in the community. He could still recite parts numbers to this day. Harold never met a stranger; he could strike up a conversation with anyone and most likely have something in common or they knew a mutual friend. Everyone knew him as the man with a cigar always in his mouth. He never smoked them, but he always had one. He was loved by so many people. Those of us who are left behind are truly heartbroken as the void of him leaving this earthly world is beyond comprehension. He passed away doing one of the things he loved the most, watching a Cub's game. He loved the Cubs, the Pacers and Purdue sports; he was a true Boilermaker! At his request there will be no funeral.
