My list of favorite teachers while I was attending Wilmington H S is topped by Mrs. Hart. She was genuinely interested in seeing to it that we learned from her so that we would have a strong chance to be successful after graduation and in life. She taught us not only the subject at hand but she gave us advice about life in general. Mrs. Hart was truly the best.

Mrs Hart was my typing and shorthand teacher in the 1955-1957. She taught me so much during the years she was my teacher and mentor. I occasionally ran into her in Dsyton. She was always interested in my career, and was pleased I was doing so well. I had a tremendous career in Federal Civil Service. I climbed the career ladder retiring as a GS-12 Contracting Officer when I was 47 years old. I give Mrs Hart all the credit for my first career. I won many awards for my outstanding work and work ethics. I always told her when we saw each other. My second career was at WHIO-TV in Dayton. I received awards there also. I worked forvtotal of 52 years before retiring. She always seemed so proud of me. I wish I had known she passed before her funeral. I am sending my love and prayers to her family. She was the best teacher I ever had.

I will never forget when I first met Mrs. Hart at the beginning of my first class with her. She was pretty intimidating but it didn't take long to understand that she wanted to help us be the best we could be both as students and as adults. She was always willing to help whenever asked. She was the best. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Hart was the best teacher I had during my time at Wilmington High School. My knowledge that she taught me helped me land my first job which I still have. She was a very good friend of my parents Floyd and Loretta Burnell as my mom grew up below Hillsboro and knew her family.

I had the pleasure of being Libby's nurse for 5 years at Legacy Village Assisted Living. Her smile was so infectious. Needless to say this lady won my heart. Donna Kay (sister) was so attentive to her needs and I know Libby enjoyed the weekly visits from her sister.

Mrs Hart's passing was especially sad for the WHS class of 1955. She was our last teacher living. She attended all of our class reunions up through our 50th in October of 2005. She and Rodger O. Borror came together, the last one for both. Of course she was a great teacher loved by all.
Once will visiting her at Cape May, my wife Nan could not remember the code to open the exit door so Libby showed her!

Mrs. Hart prepared me for several successful careers that I thoroughly enjoyed. She always presented herself in such a professional way, and though somewhat intimidating as a student she became a genuine friend to me as an adult. I think of her often and appreciate the time she took to celebrate the milestones in my life. Thank you Libby Hart for all you taught me about being an educated and gracious woman. Always your student, Laura

Mrs. Hart - never a more dedicated, encouraging teacher. What a gem. She did more than teach the basics; she made me believe I could Excell. Several contacts with her since 1968 were always special. She surprised me at my Mom's funeral in 2005. She will be missed. Margie Keller Erickson

Ms. Hart was a wonderful teacher. I got several jobs over the years only because of skills I learned in her typing class and I'll always remember her fondly. Rest in peace.

Mrs. Hart was so special to the Whittenburg family. She attended weddings (even out of state) as well as being there when our mom passed. She always stressed the importance of doing our best and being proud of our work. I still remember her favorite correction of "can I ..." To may I.
Rest in peace.
