Donald E. "Tut" Burton, 92, of Wilmington, OH, died at 12:20 P.M. Sunday, November 27, 2022.
He was born January 18, 1930 in Cuba, OH, a son of James and Marian (Sewell) Burton.
Don, owner and operator of Burton Bros. Painting & Decorating for 50 years, was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and the Wilmington American Legion Post 49. During the Korean War, Don served in the U.S. Army. Don loved fishing
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Janice M. (Jordan) Burton, whom he married October 16, 1953; daughters, Brenda Kay Burton, Kathy Sue Buckland, Karen Ann Burton, Karla June (Travis) Corzatt; brother Gerald S. (Shirley) Burton; sister, Ruby Minton; grandson, James Buckland and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kenneth James Burton, a sister, Dorothy Scott and a brother-in-law, Dale Minton.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M Friday in the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W. Locust St., Wilmington with Pastor Travis Corzatt and Pastor Dale McCamish officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday December 2, 2022 from 10:30 A.M til time of service.
Burial will be in Clinton Memory Gardens with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 49 Memorial Squad.
