In high school, Butch was my very best friend. We were together nearly all the time. I would even visit him while he was working with Tank in the dental lab on the second story near the Murphy Theater. I'd enjoy sitting by the open window, watching the cars go by below on Main Street. Sorry that we lost touch after I moved away after high school.

I knew butch for over 30 years and always thought a lot of him. I did small jobs with him as a teenager. I used to run into him at Wilmington Kroger and we seemed to talk forever. I will miss those talks and seeing him. What a great man Butch truly was. Rip my friend. Bill Smith
