Julie Michele Barnes, age 56, of Sabina, OH, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.
Born in Wilmington, OH on March 3, 1969, to Bob and Frankie Baker, Julie was the youngest of five siblings.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, a good glass of wine, watching sports, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Nothing brought her more joy than gathering with the people she loved. Julie had a heart of gold and a smile and laugh that could light up any room.
Julie is preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Baker. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Frankie Baker of Wilmington; her husband, Brian Barnes of Sabina; her children, Hannah (Kyle) Speakman of Wilmington and Brian Lee (Sarah) Barnes of Crestwood, KY; and her grandson, Brian Lee Barnes III, "Tripp." Also left to cherish her memory are siblings: Mark (Tracy) Baker of France, Greg (Mary) Baker of Grove City, and Amy Sue (Chuck) Frazier of Jamestown; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4-7pm. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, December 12, 2025, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Wilmington. Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery.
