Ronald James Heeg of Blanchester was born on Dec. 18, 1942 in Cincinnati and went home to be with the Lord with his family by his side on May 4, 2017 at the age of 74.
He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Zoliva Ann (nee Adams) Heeg; loving father of Tamra (Gary) Morris, Michael (Jennifer) Heeg and Eric (Shannon) Heeg; proud grandfather of Dakota James Heeg, Lane Michael Heeg, Ian Preston Heeg, Savannah Rae Miller, Logan David Adams, Kyle Jonathon Adams and Josie Heeg; dear brother of the late Carrol Heeg and Mary Alice Brown; and cherished son of the late Edward and Mildred (nee Fender) Heeg. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Ron was a 4-H Advisor for Marion Hustlers for 57 years. He was a strong supporter of the Blanchester FFA, a devoted lifelong farmer and a member of the Westboro United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to noon with services following at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester. Interment will be at Blanchester I.O.O.F Cemetery.
