Tracy Heather Lanker 43, of Anacortes, Washington, beloved wife and mother, died of complications related to Leukemia on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. Her husband Mike was by her side.
Tracy was born on August 13, 1978 in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, the only child of David and Susan (Murphy) Smith, currently of Wilmington, Ohio.
Tracy was a Registered Nurse and mother by profession. She met the love of her life, Michael Douglas Lanker, formerly of Mansfield, Ohio, while working at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. They were married on December 18, 2004.
Two children were born to them. Addison was born on November 18, 2007 at the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in North Carolina; and Eli followed on October 17, 2013 at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Her favorite pastimes included raising her kids, hiking, collecting various house plants and cooking for her family.
Tracy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Warren and Mary Ellen Murphy and Owen and Mary Smith, both of Wilmington, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Michael; their children, Addison and Eli; her parents, David and Susan; and her aunts and uncles, Tom and Debbie Murphy and Martin and Debbie Woodruff.
A Private Celebration of Life will be conducted on August 13, 2022 in Ohio.
