Barbara Gautreau Obituary

BELLINGHAM -Barbara Agnes (Robbins) Gautreau of Bellingham, on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, passed into the arms of her Lord, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after an extended period of declining health. She was born in Blackstone, Mass., the daughter of the late Earl E. and Madeline (Dorrington) Robbins on Jan. 21, 1937. After her marriage to Oscar P. Gautreau, who pre-deceased her in 2003 after 48 years of marriage, the couple moved to Bellingham, and she has resided there ever since.
Barbara and Oscar were the parents of four children: Robin Ann Gautreau, who lived with her mother and was her devoted caregiver for the past ten years; Ronald P. Gautreau and his wife Robin, of Conway, N.H.; Sallie A. and her husband James Paige, of Blackstone, MA; and Scott A. Gautreau of Blackstone. She also leaves four beloved grandchildren, Erin Gautreau Bouchard and her husband Kyle of Millville, Mass., Daniel Gautreau of Washington, D.C., Timothy Gautreau of North Smithfield, R.I., and Kevin Gautreau of Syracuse, N.Y., and her beloved great-granddaughter and little companion, Olivia Gautreau.
She is also survived by her sisters Marie and her husband Normand Girard of Blackstone, and Jeanne A. and her husband Harold D. Gould, Jr., of Whitinsville, and her brothers William and his wife Paula, of Adamsville, AL and F. Joseph and his wife Bette, of Douglas, Mass., her sister-in-law Claire Robbins of Tacoa, Geo., her brother-in-law George Gautreau of Woonsocket, and her sister-in-law Sister Marguerite Gautreau, O.C., of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul Street, Blackstone, MA. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, Dec. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
