Bertrand A. Maclure

WOONSOCKET - Bertrand A. Maclure, 86, of Woonsocket, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at home. He was the beloved husband for 62 years of Constance T. (Allard) Maclure.
Born in Woonsocket, Bertrand was the son of the late Arthur and Aurore (Cardinal) Maclure.

Bertrand was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he earned a Bronze Star. Before retiring in 1988, he was a crane operator for the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale for over 25 years, and later was employed by Miller Electric.

Bertrand was a member of the Leclair, Kozlik, Logan, Basset VFW #6342 of Forestdale. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

In addition to his devoted wife, Bertrand was the cherished father of three daughters; Charlene B. Dwyer, and her husband, James of Woonsocket; Linda G. Laliberte, and her husband, Raymond, of Woonsocket; and Cathy A. Terrall, and her husband, John of Gales Ferry, Conn. He has left a legacy of love and devotion to his eight grandchildren: David, Stacey, Brenton, Jade, Erica, Ryan, Dustin and Courtney, and one great-granddaughter, Amelia. He was the brother of three sisters; Constance Goulet, Gabrielle Chartier, and Henrietta Patrie, all of Woonsocket. He was also the brother of the late Gerald Maclure, Muriel Roy, Therese Artruc, Gilberte Allard and Yolande Kircorian.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Military Honors will follow immediately after Mass on the church grounds. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket.
