Brian was retired from Electric Boat in Quonset.
Brian is survived by his father Raymond Whewell, brother Paul Whewell and his wife Kathy, nephew William J. Whewell of Hamden, CT and niece Katie E. Whewell of Boston, MA, as well as several cousins and many friends.
Services will be private.

Brian contacted me just before xmas. I'm honored he thought enough of me to call me. I'm grateful I got to see him before he passed. He was always good to me and I found him to be funny. He was truly a good friend and was thoughtful of others. Rest in peace, Brian. I still can't believe he is gone.

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Brian. I worked with Brian for over 30 years before my retirement in 2010. He was one of the nicest men I have ever known. I know he will be missed by his friends and family.
