Denny Canestrari

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Denny Canestrari, 81, of North Smithfield, died February 15, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Patricia Canestrari whom he married May 28, 1960. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Walter and Rita (Corrieri) Canestrari.
Denny took pride in his personal accounting clients whom he serviced for over 50 years. He was proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed taking trips to Italy. Denny was a lifelong and loyal Cleveland Indians Baseball fan, he watched 162 games a year, never missing a single game. He was also a Providence College Basketball fan.
Besides his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two sons, Ken Canestrari and his wife Cindy of Cumberland; and Craig Canestrari and his partner David of Palm Springs, CA; and a daughter, Heidi Loiselle and her husband Jonathon of Cumberland; his mother-in-law, Doris Schram; and six grandchildren, Ben, Alex, Sydney, Anthony, Ashley and Carley.
His funeral will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 beginning with visitation at 8 AM followed by a 9AM service in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Road, Cumberland, RI.
