Doris L. Pickering

MILLVILLE - Doris L. (Caron) Pickering, 72, of Millville passed away peacefully November 18, 2015 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Walter R. Pickering, Sr. Born in Highland Park, IL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Tardif) Caron and raised her family in Blackstone.
Mrs. Pickering worked sixteen years as an Administrative Secretary for W.A. Wilde Co. Holliston, MA, retiring in 2005 and previously worked as a Lease Administrator for CVS for thirteen years. Doris enjoyed camping at Kings Campground in Manchaug, MA trips to the casino, BINGO and spending time with her family.
She is survived by five children; Walter Pickering, Jr. of Millville, James Pickering of Charlton MA, Debra Falcioni of Blackstone, Darlene Pickering of Millville; and Lance Pickering of Worcester MA; and their spouses Lori Pickering, Jerry Falcioni, Candy Pickering, and Wendy Walsh; five siblings, Victor Caron, Dennis Caron, Lorraine Caron and Carol Turcotte all of RI; and the late Richard Caron; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Sunday from 4 - 7PM.
