Elsie L. Tracy

1933 - 2016

FRANKLIN - Elsie L. (Hanscom) Tracy 82, of Franklin, died peacefully, Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Milford Regional Medical Center, following an illness. She was the wife of the late Charles J. "Chubby" Tracy, who was the love of her life, and who died in 2010.
Born October 30, 1933 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Douglas and Phyllis L. (Brown) Hanscom, she was a longtime Franklin resident.
She was raised and educated in Franklin and was a homemaker.
Elsie will be remembered as a kind and loving person, who treasured her family, bird watching, gardening and bingo.
She is survived by her children, Edward C. Tracy and his wife Debra of Cumberland, Daniel J. Tracy and his wife Michelle of Franklin, Cynthia L. Buck of Woonsocket, Pamela J. Tracy of Woonsocket, Sammy Grinham of Franklin, a sister Dorothy Turnbull of Maine, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her loving dog Smudge.
She was the mother of the late Karen Tracy-Clifford, the grandmother of the late Stephanie Buck and the sister of the late Alton & Donald Hanscom.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday April 15th, at 11AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Burial will follow at the family lot at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours are Thurs. from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
