Eugene Franklin Obituary
BURRILLVILLE - Eugene V. Franklin, 99, of Pascoag, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the loving husband of Theresa (Croteau) Franklin, his wife of 75 years.
Born in
Greenville, he was the son of the late Edwin and Lillian (Turgeon) Franklin.
Eugene worked at Rhode Island Hospital for 20 years as a steam fitter. He served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of Pascoag Fire Department Hose 1 for 7 years.
In addition to his wife, Theresa, he leaves behind his daughter, Donna Dumouchelle and husband David; his three sons: Larry Franklin and wife Peggy, Kenneth Franklin and wife Linda and Jeffrey Franklin and wife Lori; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Franklin and his siblings: Edwin, Roy, Earl and Lloyd Franklin and Helen Daugherty, Pearl Irons and Dorothy Beckwith.
His funeral will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 9 AM from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Calling hours will be Friday, June 28 from 4 to 7 PM.

Eugene was to me Uncle Gene and also my Godfather and his wife Theresa my Godmother! My memories of him are many from back in the 80´s with my late father Roy W Franklin, every cook out and there were many, both of them would be comparing all the work they did!
Both Gene & Roy and Uncle Earl and pretty much all the Franklins were extremely talented when it came to building things!!! I will never ever forget him or any of the lessons he would preach! And last, my Uncle Gene & Auntie Theresa never once forgot to send me a birthday card with a little present in it!
And just couple weeks ago or so my "Mom" Andrea M Franklin happened to be visiting from Florida and went to visit them!
Mom loved Gene so much, so these are some of the memories we shared with him and his wife Theresa! Our condolences to the entire family, and all of our cousins and to anyone that knew him he was certainly a great man that God kept on this earth to influence all of us in a way not many could!!

we will see you one day again until then farewell!!!
