Francis Silvia Obituary
He was the beloved husband of the late Winifred (Hesford) Silvia.
Francis was born on March 21, 1922 a son of the late Frank and Minerva (Gibbons) Silvia.
Before retirement, Mr. Silvia was employed with Lincoln Dimensional Tube, formerly McKenzie Walton. Mr. Silvia was also employed part time for over 40 years with New England Linen Supply of Pawtucket. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves Baseball Team, enjoyed fishing, but most of all cherished time spent with his family.
Mr. Silvia is survived by his children, Gary Silvia and wife Lindell of Pawtucket, Francis Silvia and wife Diana of Dunnellon, FL and Mary Ann Piasecki of Cumberland, RI, grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 11. Francis was also the father of the late Arlene Leclerc and brother of the late Mary Haveck.
Mr. Silvia's funeral will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 8:45 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Joseph Church Walcott St., Pawtucket. Interment will follow in Mt. Saint Mary Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 23rd from 3:30 to 6:30 pm in the Manning-Heffern Funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude place Memphis, TN 38105-9959 stjude.org/memorialgifts, in Mr. Silvia's memory, would be deeply appreciated.
