Jacqueline Marcet Obituary

WOONSOCKET - Jacqueline C. Marcet 92, of Rhodes Ave. passed away on March 31, 2023 at the Friendly Home. She was the loving wife of the late Roger Marcet. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late George and Arcelia (Rainville) Vanasse. Jacqueline worked for the Department of Employment Security for the Sate of RI for over twenty years before retiring. She then worked for the former McCarthy's Department Store. Jacqueline enjoyed playing cards, going to the beach, traveling and going out to eat.


She was the cherished aunt of Anne Ciresi of Johnston and several other nieces and nephews through out the country. She was predeceased by her siblings, Jeannette Laferriere, Paul Vanasse, Simone Kent, Claire Schwerghofer, Marcelle Szafranski, George Vanasse, and Gisele Heslin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. The family would like to thank the staff at Friendly Home for the wonderful care they gave to Jacqueline.
