Jacqueline Scott Obituary

WOONSOCKET - Jacqueline E. (Moreau) Scott, 79, died Sunday, June 11, 2017. She was a resident of St. Antoine Residence, dementia special care unit. Mrs. Scott was the beloved wife of Gerald Scott, with whom she would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this July. Born and raised in Blackstone, MA, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Melvina (Harpin) Moreau.
Mrs. Scott worked for New England Instrument and Amperex as an assembler in her early years. She became a nurse's aide later in life, working at several local nursing homes, but spent most of her life as a homemaker, and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Scott was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket.
Besides her husband, Gerald, she leaves their sons, Kevin Scott and his wife, Rachel, of Cumberland, and Shawn Scott and his wife, Amanda, of No. Scituate; their grandson, Thomas; her niece and Godchild, Maureen Beaver and her husband, Neal, of Wrentham; her brother, Roger Moreau of Blackstone; her sister, Germaine Belisle of Wrentham; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the favorite charity of one's choice.
