Jeannette L. Ackley

WOONSOCKET - Jeannette L. (Forget) Ackley, 88, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 with loving family by her side. She is the beloved wife of the late Richard R. Ackley. She is the loving mother of Raymond Parenteau of Gaffney, SC, Alan R. Ackley of Woonsocket, RI and companion Roberta Renaud, and his late wife Kathleen E. (Hand) Ackley, and Roger R. Ackley and his wife Jenny of Harrisville, RI. She leaves her cherished granddaughter Danielle L. Ackley of Chepachet, RI and her companion Stephen Ferguson.

Jeannette was born in Woonsocket on September 6, 1936, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lea (Bergeron) Forget, and the sister of Robert Forget and his wife Nina of North Smithfield, RI, the late Raymond Forget and his wife Beatrice of North Smithfield, RI, the late Albert Forget and his wife Doris of North Smithfield, RI, and the late Doris Bissonnette. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Jeannette was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and graduate of Woonsocket High School. She had worked for CVS Mark Stevens for many years until retiring, and previously for Daniels Tobacco Company.

Jeannette enjoyed shopping, dining at Cracker Barrel, camping, sewing, doing handwork, cake decorating, and especially being with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, September 18th from 5PM to 7PM at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 19th at 10AM at Cartier's Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone, MA.
