John C. Comire

SMITHFIELD - John C. Comire, 64, of Greenville, RI passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 7, 2015, in his home. He was the husband of Wendy (Morse) Comire of 44 years. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Aime Comire and Beatrice (Remillard) Comire Motte.
John is survived by his wife Wendy; two daughters, Janet Comire of Greenville, Melissa Comire of Greenwood, SC; five brothers, Robert Comire of Cumberland, Joel Comire of Woonsocket, Gerald Comire of Woonsocket, Keith Comire of Cohoes, NY and James Motte of Long Beach, CA; four sisters, Patricia Huguenin of North Smithfield, Jeanne Kelbaugh of Woonsocket, Elizabeth Griffin of Hopkinton and Michelle Nickerson of Hudson, NH; four grandsons, Jake, Samuel, John and Christopher; three great granddaughters; as well as a large extended family. He was preceded in death by three of his brothers Ronald Comire, Daniel Comire and William Comire.
He was a graduate of Roger Williams University. He spent much of his life in management in the textile industry. After retirement, he enjoyed his days working at Action Auto as well as servicing and building computers. During his leisure time, he enjoyed golf, bowling and spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered for his witty sense of humor and willingness to lend a hand or word of advice to friends, family and strangers alike.
His funeral will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015, beginning with visitation at 4 PM followed by a service at 6 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main Street, Woonsocket.
