Joseph Giard Obituary
Born in Mapleville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Louisa (Langlois) Giard.
Joseph worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957 during the Korean War. Joseph enjoyed playing golf and was a Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League.
He is survived by two daughters: Wendy DelGiudice of Chepachet and Laurie Maguire of Attleboro, MA; a son Jeffrey Giard of Pascoag; a sister Marilyn Wilson of Northbridge, MA and two grandchildren: Andrew and Liam Maguire.
His funeral will be held Monday, April 2, 2018, beginning with visitation at 9:30 AM from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave, Pascoag with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave. Pascoag. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Burrillville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2374 Post Rd., Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886.
