It's been over a year---- and it still doesn't seem Real!
Robert E. M. Clements---- known to all and sundry as "Bob"----

Joe, I've always considered you "My Brother From Another Mother" since our chance meeting up on the Blackstone railroad tracks back in 1969. You were carrying one of your ever-present electric guitars. After a brief conversation, you informed me that you were heading for Dave Joyal's place. I had met Dave through Leo Savageau a week or so before. So, I tagged along.... The rest is history----

When I first met you I thought you were insane, talking about battleships, tanks, destroyers, horror movies and arm wrestling, what topics! But later on we talked about guitars, we both played and we both loved black Sabbath, from then on are friendship grew and we use to call each other different guitar players name and different WW2 generals, we laughed a lot. About a month ago you wanted me to sell your prescious Gibson SG, l got a picture of it with you in it but when I look at that picture all I see is the guitar.

Joe was my very good friend for over 53 years. We met through a mutual acquaintance, and we attended the Old Blackstone High School together. Joe was a senior; I, a junior, having repeated the first grade back in Lynn, Massachusetts. We always ate lunch together in the gymnasium bleachers, talking about music and horror movies. We boned then and there to be lifelong friends. I became godfather to his eldest daughter, Laurie. We experienced the highs and lows of life together. Always there in times of trouble, giving each other a helping hand, even though we had limited resources. I will miss my Other Brother and hopefully greet him in the Afterlife. I love you, Joe, and I'm glad I got to tell you that many, many times.
Your Born Bro, Robert "Bob" Clements. "Take it beasy"----
