Joseph Ryfa Obituary
Joseph served as a private first class in Patton's 3rd army, 4th armored division. During WWII, he was involved in the liberation of Europe.
He was a caring and devoted father who taught the value of family. His legacy is evident by his surviving family. He has six loving children, five sons and a daughter: Joe, Mike, Dan, David, Mary, and Erik. His grandchildren: Aaron, Tarah, Amanda, Austin, Courtney, Michaela and Kaitlyn. His great grandchildren: Cynthia, Dakota, Riley, Hailey, Natalie and Jack. Joe touched the hearts of too many to list. He now joins his true love, Mildred (Nanny to her grandchildren), who passed before him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, April 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI. A full military funeral will be held beginning at Keefe Funeral Home proceeding to burial at Exeter Cemetery Thursday at 10:00 a.m., with a service in the funeral home at 10:30am. Sorry to hear of Uncle Joey's passing.
He made us laugh many times over and always had a story to tell. I remember him in his army uniform during the war. He was a great man - the last of our great uncles.
