My deepest condolences to the Furtado family. Mr. Ken was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. I had the pleasure of working for him in the garden shop. He was a very knowledgeable person, and passed that knowledge onto others. There was not one thing you could ask him, that he didn't have an answer for! My heart is heavy today hearing this sad news, I will miss bringing him coffee and being able to sit and chat with him. Don't worry Mr. Ken I will occasionally stop and make sure someone is "color coordinating" the flowers...Rest in peace Ken..

My thoughts and prays are with you Alice, your daughter and family. Just was told of Kenny's passing about 7 o'clock tonight from Kenny's coworkers George, and the lady that worked with him for 40 years starting from Seekonk store, I cant even believe it. Last year at this time i was told of the passing of your daughter. Alice I am Roberta, Evelyn's daughter, Evelyn from Grants where you worked with my mom and where Kenny worked setting up all the displays, taking down the displays, pushing boxes of merchandise from department to department and continued working for the ANN & Hope. Always remembered him working very hard and a dedicated worker. Remembered me, my sister and my mom went to your wedding; a lovely couple. Spoke with Kenny bout a year ago and was talking bout the Grant's days you all worked together, Edna, Laura, Mrs. Tellingly and what a nice person lady you are, he replied " she's the best" and smiled from ear to ear. My condolescence are with you. May God comfort you and your daughter and bring you peace. May Kenny rest in peace.

Mr. Ken where should I begin. Seeing your happy face for the past 8 years every week has truly made the work environment a better place. Listening to all your stories & experiences throughout your life has opened my eyes to what life really means. You always told me "never change kid!" and i plan to stay true to just that! Dave & I will never forget that you picked out our first Christmas tree & man was that tree perfect! Seekonk Ann & Hope will never be the same without your face. xoxo !

Mr Ken was an awesome boss to work for, a kind gentle soul and always made time to talk to shoppers. Ann & Hope will not be the same without you puffing away on a cigar and watering and putting out the displays of flowers and Christmas trees. Rest easy Mr Ken, you are sadly missed.

What a fantastic guy. Such a loss. He always made time to chat when I went into
Ann & Hope, even though I left the store
in Seekonk back in 1986! It was like we never skipped a beat. My sincere sympathy to his family and many, many friends!

Mr. Ken was the first person I ever worked for back when I was 16 years old. Through the years he taught me so many things about life and what it is to be a man. His advice and view on the world has played a huge role in the way I lead my life and the decisions I've made as I grew older. The man watched me grow up and certainly shaped who I am as an employee in the workplace, and who I am as a person, and I really sincerely thank him for that. Have a good time up there my friend, light up a phillie and fire up the hose there's plenty of flowers to be watered.

Mr. Ken will be truly missed. It was a pleasure working with Mr. Ken! I learned so much working with him, knowledge I still use today. I remember getting to work early and Mr. Ken would already be there with cigar in his mouth and coffee in hand. I remember shoppers that would look for only Mr. Ken. He was a great man a great boss and a great friend!!

I had the pleasure of working with Kenny years back when I bought Trim-a-Tree for Ann&Hope and no matter how hectic things would get he would always make me laugh. It was an honor knowing him. Our Ann&Hope family won't be the same without him. RIP.

To the entire Furtado family and also to his many friends and dedicated garden shop customers of Ann and Hope. There is not a single customer of Ann and Hope that Kenny didn't know. He had a special group of customers and employees that will miss him dearly. He was loyal to the Chase family and will be truly missed by all. I also had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ken and his daughter Betty a former employee of Ann and Hope. My best to his wife and the entire Furtado family. RIP Ken with your darling daughter Susan. You will be missed ... Florence Beaudette

To Ken's family my deepest condolences.
I met Ken about 30 years ago Ann & Hope
through other employees I hung out with. I quickly learned Ken as good man. Fuuny several houses later a man who knew his stuff and loved helping Ken made me look smart for everything that got planted and I told Ken he laughed and said happy to help. I cheated some more I got my Christmas trees from who else. I always looked forward to see Ken. I don't see this as a loss as i have gained so much by knowing such a good man and so did the people who knew him and those who didn't but crossed his path. Thank you one more time just for being you.

Mr.Ken was a great boss and person. Some of my best teenage memories were working for him in the Orginal garden shop. We would work hard and when that was done we would laugh at the stories Mr. Ken shared.
My deepest condolences to his family, he will be missed dearly. Going to Ann & Hope will never be the same without seeing him there.
