Laurent Duhamel Obituary
BELLINGHAM - Laurent J. Larry Duhamel, 85, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 5, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband of
Elizabeth A. (Spaziano) Duhamel and the loving father of Nancy Belsito and her husband, Peter of Hopkinton, MA, and David Duhamel and Lisa Corrigan of Smithfield, RI. He leaves his cherished grandchildren Matthew and Charlie Belsito. Larry was born in Woonsocket, RI on November 18, 1938, the son of the late Hector Duhamel and Claudia (Forcier) Duhamel Levielle.
Larry was a resident of Bellingham for 51 years formerly of Woonsocket, RI. He owned and operated D&N Transportation Company Inc. of North Smithfield, RI until retiring 5 years ago. He served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve.
Larry was an avid golfer and a member of Kirkbrae Country Club and Pleasant Valley Country Club. His family and friends considered him a kind and generous man. Larry was loved and will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral will be held on Friday, January 12th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Laurent J. Duhamel may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Center, 20 Prospect St., Milford MA 01757 or the Bellingham Fire Department, 28 Blackstone St., Bellingham, MA 02019.
