Lawrence J. Labadie Sr.

BURRILLVILLE - Lawrence J. Labadie, Sr., 91, of Harrisville, RI passed away on April 11, 2017, at the Overlook Nursing
& Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag, RI. He was the loving husband of Theresa (Morin) Labadie. He was born in Harrisville a son of the late Albert C. & Louise R. (Ramieglio) Labadie.
He worked many years and retired from the RI Forestry Service, as a Senior Forest Ranger. Previously he worked for the former Stillwater Worsted Textile Co, and part time for St. Patrick's Church and Cemetery. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran and was a member of the Pascoag Council Knights of Columbus. Larry also enjoyed hunting and golfing.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Lawrence J. Labadie, Jr. and his wife Diane and Carol A. Couture and her husband Paul, grandchildren, Patricia Mattera, Pamela Connors and Kirah Kirk, great grandchildren, Kailyn and Gianni Mattera, Haley and Michela Connors and Wyatt Kirk. He is also survived by brother, Albert Labadie.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Labadie and a sister, Mildred Keegan.
His funeral will be held Monday, at 9am from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Patrick's Church in Harrisville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Pascoag. Calling hours are prior to the mass from 9-10:30am. www.brownfuneralhomes.com
