Leo Patenaude Obituary

WOONSOCKET - Leo C. Patenaude 87, of Joffre Ave. died Dec. 29, 2015 at Landmark Medical Center. He was born in Burlington, Vermont a son of the late Alphonse and Yvonne (Benoit) Patenaude.

Leo was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. Throughout his life he held various jobs. Leo was a weaver for the Berkshire Hathaway Co., he was a supervisor for American Tourister, he also worked in retail for several years for Mars Department Stores. He retired as the groundskeeper and custodian for St. Agatha's Church. Leo was very involved with St. Agatha's CYO for many years. He directed one-act competition plays for the CYO and for Fairfield Youth Performers. Leo loved his garden and his cats.

He is survived by his nephews, Roland C. "Oscar" Levesque, Rene E. Levesque and Raymond L. Levesque and to great-nephews Timothy and Corey Levesque.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Agatha Church, Joffre Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Please visit fournierandfournier.com for guestbook and directions.
