Marilyn Beaudette Obituary
WOONSOCKET - Marilyn G. (Ferris) Beaudette, age 95, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in Woonsocket, Rhode
Island. Born on October 15, 1929, in Rhode
Island, the daughter of the late Myrtle Whipple and sister of the late Ethel Palermo, she lived a long and meaningful life marked by compassion, dedication, and love for her family and community. In her own words I've had a good life!
A proud graduate of Blackstone High School and the Rhode Island School of Nursing, Marilyn devoted herself to caring for others both professionally and personally. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her career-she was known for offering help in times of need not only to coworkers and friends but also to complete strangers. Her kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Marilyn was a devoted member of St. James Episcopal Church in Woonsocket, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She also found joy and purpose as a member of the St. Joseph Senior Club, where she gave back to others through acts of service. In her spare time, she lovingly knitted hats for newborns and soldiers-a small gesture that reflected her generous heart.
She was the loving wife of her husband of 74 years Raymond T. Beaudette who passed a few days after her. She is survived by her children: Roger and his wife Jeannie Beaudette of Woonsocket; Bill and his wife Lorraine of Bellingham, Massachusetts; and Nancy and her husband Guy Gervais of Florida. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Michael and Megan Beaudette of Woonsocket; Grant and Adam Gervais of Florida; Keith and Brian Beaudette of Massachusetts; as well as great-grandchildren Abbi, Riley, Sophia, and Levi.
Donations in memory of Marilyn G. Beaudette to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
A private burial will be at RI Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
