Mary T. Hughes

BELLINGHAM - Mary T. Hughes, 90, of Bellingham, died December 25, 2021 in Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough, MA. She was the wife of the late Donald Hughes. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late William and Delina (Desrosier) Pennington.

Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker, a former member of the former Assumption Church, and loved being with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Greene and her husband, Thomas, of Blackstone, and Cheryl Rintala and her husband, Kaarlo, Jr. (Butch), of Bellingham; her son, Michael Hughes and his wife, Marilyn, of Douglas; her sister, Helen Canula of Westport, MA; five grandchildren, Keri Gaudette, Timothy Greene, Stacy Perkins, Matthew Hughes, and Corey Hughes; and eleven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Bernard, William, and Arthur Pennington, and Lillian Plante.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 510 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at stjude.org.
