Norma G. Polak

LINCOLN - Norma G. Polak (Dunn) of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2015 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Thaddeus (Ted) Polak for 61 years. She was also the devoted daughter of the late Susan (McKeon) and Edward Dunn. Norma was the loving Mom of Barry (Karen) Polak, Cynthia (Richard) Dursin, Sueann (Dennis) Jones, Beth Ellen (John) Borzain, Teddie (Karleen) Polak, Gregg (Shannon) Polak and the late Susan Marie Polak. She was the proud grandmother of Kyla Couture, Eric, Ryan, and Marissa Dursin, Shayna, Trent, and April Daugherty, Ian, Jillian, and Jake Borzain, Sopha Oldham, Sophea Prak, Jerzy and Ryley Polak, Ethan and Mclean Polak and was great-grandmother of Caden, Mykiah, Charlotte, Juliette, and Eli. Norma was a sister of Arlene Walker, the late Louise Rivard, and the late Edward Dunn and had several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her wonderful caregivers at St. Antoine Residence.
Norma's pride and joy were her husband and family. She loved hosting family celebrations and trips, and was a talented chef and seamstress. She was strong in her faith, an active member of St. Jude Parish and had been a member of the St. Edward Guild. She actively supported her family's activities and was an enthusiastic hockey mom. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Norma was very fun-loving, giving, and vibrant.
Norma's visiting hours will be Sunday, (8/23) from 4-7pm at the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln RI. Her funeral will be held Monday (8/24) at 8:30am from the Lincoln Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln, RI. Burial will be at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket RI.
