Normand Girard Obituary
Normand was a warehouse material specialist for many years retiring in 2012. He had proudly served in both the US Air Force and the Air National Guard, and retired from the National Guard also in 2012.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a past Grand Knight and a member of its Honor Guard.
He was a past-president of the RI Jaycees. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Havelock NC Fire Department. Normand enjoyed a great love of fire trucks.
Normand is survived by his siblings, Raymond and Eugene Girard, and Lorraine Guilbault, all of Woonsocket, and Jeanette Benoit of Belchertown MA, his nephews, of whom he was very proud, Sgt. Matthew Benoit and Cpl. Guy Guilbault Jr, and his niece and godchild, Christina Benoit.
His funeral will be held on Monday, Feb 15 at 9:00AM from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyr's Church, Park Ave, Woonsocket. Burial with Military honors will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Sunday 1-4PM.

We were saddened to read of Normand's passing, and want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Louis and Normand were Air Force buddies and shared many laughs and good times together, including serving as "Best Man" at our wedding. Loved his sense of humor. May he rest in peace.

I MET NORMAND IN DUNKIN DOUGHNUTS IN HAVELOCK N.C. I LIVED IN WOONSOCKET FOR 35 yrs. We knew some of the same people. He will be missed .
