Omer Recore Obituary
with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Rita L. Recore who passed away November of 2012, and the companion to Edith Fafard of Woonsocket. He was born in Woonsocket, RI October 29, 1928 to the late Peter A. and Dorilda (Paul) Recore.
He was the loving father of Omer H. Recore Jr. and his wife Elaine of Uxbridge, MA; Janice Plouffe and her husband Richard of Orlando, FL; and Dianne Martin and her husband Mitchell of Uxbridge, MA. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren: Ashley Recore, Jody Plouffe, Jessica Lines, Melissa Martin and Michelle Martin; two great grandchildren: Camber Lines, daughter of Jessica and Arete Aubrey, son of Ashley; several nieces and nephews; one brother: Raymond Recore and his wife Lorraine of Blackstone, MA; and one brother-in-law Normand Rivard. He was predeceased by Joseph Ricard, William and Eugene Recore, Alma Dubois, Regina Lacroix, Alice Dufresne, Rita Degrange, Yvonne Recore, and Constance Rivard.
Omer was the longtime Produce Manager at Thrifty Market, Blackstone, MA and Eddie's Market (now Brigido's Market) No. Smithfield, RI before retiring several years ago. Devoted to his family, Omer will be greatly missed.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 21 West St., Milford, MA. There will be a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa's Church, 35 Dion Dr., Harrisville, RI. Interment will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket, RI. I have many good memories of playing penny ante poker, talking, and just enjoying all the company, whenever Uncle Omer and his family would come over to visit, especially during the Holidays!
We all seemed to have a great time together, we have some great memories with our cousins, uncles and aunts around as well.
Here's wishing Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Ray a wonderful Christmas, as we celebrate Uncle Omer's life!

I want to express my condolences on the loss of your Dad. Getting this news has brought back many memories of our days growing up at 338 Third Ave. My life was so simple in those days. I consider myself fortunate to have grown up during this time period. My wife and I retired to Georgia but I stay in touch with the news. God bless everyone during this difficult time. I am sure your Dad is at peace.
