Rhea R. Butera

WOONSOCKET - Rhea R. (Vachon) Butera, 95, formerly of Rose Ave., died Monday, April 30, 2018 in the St. Antoine Residence with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Salvatore J. Butera. Born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late William and Eva (Fissette) Vachon.
Rhea worked as an assembler for AT Cross for 13 years prior to retiring. She enjoyed needlework, crafts, word puzzles, and sewing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Butera and his wife Pamela of Woonsocket. Two grandchildren, Andrea Henault and her husband Jeffrey and Donna Butera. Two great-grandchildren, Salvatore and Ava Marie. She was also the mother of the late Beverly Ann Butera and sister of the late Cecile Adams and Lionel Vachon.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 10AM from the S.Dipardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invited; Visitation is from 8-9AM prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. In leau of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Antoine Residence Activity Fund, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896, would be appreciated.
