Rita Barney Obituary
She was the wife of the late Lawrence J. Barney.
Mrs. Barney was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Eugene Lemieux and Alida (Morin) Lemieux. She was a homemaker.
Rita is survived by her children; Lawrence R. Barney, Robert R. Barney, David A. Barney, Rita J. VanBever, Joanne Desjardin, Diane Davidow and her caregiver of over twenty five years, Donna A. Barney. She is also survived by her brother Joseph R. Lemieux and her sister Theresa C. Lacroix, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Barney was the mother of the late Raymond A. Barney and the sister of the late Jeannette F. Barry.
The funeral for Rita will be Friday, August 18th at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Consolation Church, Sabin Street Pawtucket at 10:00 am. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. The calling hours will be Thursday from 5-7 pm in the funeral home. For online condolences please visit www.manningheffern.com.
