Theresa Sandrowski Obituary

EAST PROVIDENCE - Theresa F. (Labonte) Sandrowski, 90, of East Providence and formerly of Central Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, September 5, 2016 at Waterview Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, East Providence. She was the wife of the late Matthew Sandrowski.
Born in South Attleboro, MA, a daughter of the late Adelard and Josephine (Lacroix) Labonte, she had lived in Central Falls for most of her life before moving to Providence and later to East Providence.
Mrs. Sandrowski was a cashier, sorter and tagger at the former Ann & Hope Department Store, Cumberland for over 20 years before retiring. She was also a weaver in the textile industry and was a crossing guard in Central Falls for many years.
She was a loyal fan of the races at Seekonk Speedway. She was full of life and loved dancing at the local VFW Post well into her 80's. She was the longtime dance partner of George Crawford.
She is survived by five daughters, Sandra Korzeniewski of Taunton, MA, Rita Burnham of Middleboro, MA, Katherine Taub of Spring Hill, FL, Joan Sandrowski of Norton, MA and Karen Tavares of Rumford; and one son, Joseph Sandrowski of Alabama. She was an amazing Meme're to her 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Adelard Labonte, Yvonne Cross, Lucille Ferland, Jeannette Paquin, Doris Roussell, Beatrice Provost and Germaine Lambert.
Her prayer service will be held Monday, September 12 at 11 A.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
