Thomas J. Gentili

GEORGIA - Thomas J. Gentili 89, of Ellijay, GA formerly of Woonsocket, RI passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was the husband of the late Janet (Labossiere) Gentile, they were married for 53 years. He was also the husband of Pauline Santos of Ellijay, GA for the last 12 years.

Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Severino and Agnus (Marcotti) Gentile.

He was a member of the Italian Workingmen's Club and retired from the City of Woonsocket as a paving contractor.

Besides his wife Pauline he is survived by his two children, Doreen Goulet of Woonsocket and Thomas Gentile and his wife Bethany of Greenville, RI. Five siblings, Nancy Turgeon, Robert Gentile, Elmo Gentile, and Raymond Gentile all of Woonsocket and Iris DeStefanis of Providence. Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was also the brother of the late Diana Bottachiari, Lilio Gentili, Ronaldo Gentile, Rita Campano and Elena Gentilli. And father in law to the late Marc Goulet.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 12 noon in St. Joseph Church 1200 Mendon Rd Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 are in charge of the arrangements.
