Virginia F. David

LINCOLN - Virginia F. (Jennings) David, 88, formerly of Lincoln and Pawtucket, died Monday, March 24,

2025 at

St. Antoine

Residence, North Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. David.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Lillian V. (Farley) Jennings, she had lived most of her life in Lincoln and Pawtucket.

Mrs. David worked as a service clerk for the State of Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles, Providence, and had previously worked as a cashier for Stop & Shop in Cumberland and Pawtucket.

A member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Pawtucket, she was a member of the choir for many years, and a member of the Booster Club, serving as Past President.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Costa of Wake Forest, NC, and Lynne M. Traghella of North Smithfield; two sons, Robert F. David of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Stephen J. David of Embden, ME; one sister, Barbara Jennings of Rangeley, ME; one brother Andrew W. Jennings of Attleboro, MA; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Richard W. David.

A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Friday, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Private burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

Mrs David was a wonderful person and one of the most popular moms in our neighborhood. I babysat for the David's and loved spending time with her children. She will be missed by all who knew her.
