Arlene Fusco Obituary

Arlene L. Fusco, 71, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away at home on November 1, 2025. Born in Rockford on May 17, 1954, to her parents, Kenneth Pearson and Marjorie Wager. She graduated from East High School in 1972. Arlene married Michael J. Fusco on September 21, 1974, at Alpine Lutheran Church. Arlene worked at OSF in the X-ray department for many years, then at Rockford Standard Furniture and Rockford Products, and retired from the Northern Illinois Area Agency on Aging. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Austin. She also enjoyed visiting and spending time with her friends. She loved going to Door County with her husband. Arlene is survived by her husband, Michael J. Fusco; children, Christopher Fusco and Katie (Dan) Groom; grandchild, Austin Groom; step-grandchildren, Cameron, Drew, and Evan; brother-in-law, James (Cindy) Fusco; nephew, Samuel Garkey; special friends, Kathy, Linda, Joyce, Cindi, Bill, and Denise. Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Marjorie Pearson, and her sister, Jan Garkey. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The family asks, please no flowers.
