Carl Watson

Carl L. Watson, 95 of Rockton, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Wesley Willows Health Center. He was born August 17, 1930 in Freeport, IL, the son of Clarence and Vera (Kneller) Watson. He married Jean Seelow on November 15, 1952 in St. Thomas Catholic Church in Beloit, WI, she predeceased him on December 30, 2021. Carl was a Dairy Farmer. He enjoyed traveling, anything outdoors including gardening, fishing, and specifically his fishing trip to Canada. He loved his family and family gatherings and parties, and was a good story teller. Carl was a lifetime member of the Harvard Moose Lodge #1289. Survivors include her daughters, Juleen Watson of Simpsonville, SC, Lois Pfeifer of Loves Park, IL and Carla (Adam) Morrison of Belvidere, IL; sons, Tom (Sue) Watson of Poplar Grove, IL and Randy Watson of Belvidere, IL; grandchildren, Wayne, Teresa, Dan, Julie, Georgia, Brian, Rebecca, Nicole, Michael, Mitchell, Whitney, Luke and Tristan; great grandchildren, Austin, Raquel, Brooklyn, Nicholas, Ava and Augustus; great great grandchildren, Alex and Allasandra; and daughter-in-law, Gena Watson. He was predeceased by his parents; daughters, Marjorie and Christine; son, Greg Watson; siblings, Fred, Norma, Earl, Glen, Maxine, Thelma, Dorothy, Howard, Robert and Oscar. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Carl will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 in St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd., South Beloit, IL, with Father Alex Parasini officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday in the Church.
